This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 16, 2009:

Kandyan_mask

this one year has been the most crucial part of my life as i finally decided what i want for the rest of my life. Exactly a year before, i was in the magical land known as ceylon having no clue what i want to do the rest of my life....looking back, i cant say exactly how the trip helped me.

was it the journey climbing the adam's peak? watching the old and the young as young as infant  climbing 2243m in the cold; armed with nothing except faith... where strangers lend a hand to another stanger bound by one thing - faith. I've heard about faith.. but here i witness how faith brings together human kind...here is where i realized that togetherness is possible after all. for this is perhaps the only pilgrimage site that all four religion in the world (buddhist, hindu, christian and islam) held scared ( without fighting for it)

or exploring the ancient ruins of sigiriya pondering how on earth human kind can build such a giant fortress? the signature lion which do not exist anymore seem to whisper that nothing is imposible if you wish for it.

or perhaps knowing that after a couple of hours i left dambulla cave temple, a blast killed a number of people...a great reminder how short life can be.

or perhaps finding myself back within the sacred walls of the temple of tooth seeking for shelter, truth and answers to my question only to know later that it lies within my ownself...
