How does your mind relate to your body?
my first encounter about relationship between mind and body took place when i was 12. As a child, I witnessed my father, who almost lost his life recovering slowly... i wondered how much pain my father is enduring, how long he can endure such amount of pain... but somehow it never cross my mind why he fights on. letting go might be an easier option...
actually father never fully recovered, two decades later i still feel my tears welling up when i watch him walk... every inch of movement seemed to pain him... its almost impossible for him to let alone live, but here is a man who is living a life which awes many.
physical imperfection had never seem to stop him from raising his children successfully. In the age where we witness able bodied shying away from basic responsibility, father in his condition stretched his reach towards others. many perhaps hundred has benefitted directly or indirectly thru his generosity.
being with him, one learns that physical health should never be taken for granted, however if you happen to be around him, in a matter of few minutes, you will instantly notice that physical body is merely a shell. To define life, to be able to feel you lived - one needs more than that and that is mind. A mind which is strong, a mind that is full with good thoughts and a mind that is selfless.

Delightful paean to your father, Principessa. Thank you for the reminder that we should not take our physical bodies for granted…nor let them handicap us.
Thank you Meenakshi…
….oh! what a beautiful , sentimental tribute to your beloved father dear Principessa !… liked the last line - a sort of meditative climax shot, so much so that i jotted down the same in my personal diary for my future reference & to mull over …can’t resist repeating it : !!……..
